JCCP’s overriding goal is to contribute to securing a stable supply of oil and energy to Japan, and to mutually promote economic development in Japan and oil-producing countries. Toward this end, JCCP provides various types of programs, as one of its key activities.
By helping improve technologies and business management in the oil downstream sector in oil-producing countries, and by providing opportunities for bringing together oil personnel from Japan and oil-producing countries, JCCP aims to strengthen Japan’s friendly relations with those countries.
These programs are designed to provide Japan’s advanced technology, knowledge, and experience to engineers, middle-level managers, and physical distribution/marketing managers from the oil downstream sector in oil-producing countries, either by inviting them to participate in programs conducted in Japan, or by sending Japanese experts to conduct seminars in oil-producing countries.
Given the diversified training needs of oil-producing countries today, it has become increasingly important to accurately assess the issues faced by each country, and to incorporate as much information as possible in order to resolve these issues. Based on this understanding, JCCP constantly seeks to enhance its cooperation, by directly interviewing relevant personnel from oil organizations in oil-producing countries, to discuss issues they are facing, as well as to elicit requests for JCCP cooperation.
JCCP believes the 17,000-some participants who have so far completed JCCP programs are its precious asset. Among them, there are many who hold important positions in their respective countries’ oil industry today. In this respect as well, building strong relationships of cooperation and friendship with oil organizations in oil-producing countries is an essential part of JCCP’s activities.
Training Programs consist of the following:
