Objective To provide participants with a wide range of knowledge and practical skills on information and control systems that allow efficient operation and management in refineries

    • Tuning practice on a wet-simulator with DCS
  2. Advanced Process Control (APC) and practice:
    • Dead time compensation
    • Feed-forward control
    • Model Predictive Control (MPC)

    • Objectives of introducing information systems
    • Examples of information systems
  4. Recent technology:
    • Software sensors
  5. Visit to:
    • DCS manufacturers
    • refineries
Prerequisites Engineers with a university degree and at least three years’ experience in process control, plant operation or DCS related work, or those with an equivalent qualification
