Course Title Project Management for Mechanical Engineers

Objective To improve project management abilities including process management, cost management and risk management, and the leadership abilities of mechanical engineers in the construction or maintenance departments of oil refineries
Main Topics Through this course, participants enhance their project management capabilities as project owners.

  2. Creative teamwork
  3. Project cost management
  4. Project engineering for EPC* projects
  5. Project risk management and project contracts
  6. Visit to:
    • refineries
    • engineering companies
    • a vessel manufacturer
    • a boiler and turbine manufacturer
* EPC : Engineering, Procurement and Construction
Prerequisites Mechanical engineers with a university degree and at least five years’ experience who will be in charge of a project in the construction or maintenance areas of oil refineries, or equivalent
