    • Tuning practice on a wet-simulator with DCS
  2. Advanced Process Control (APC) with practice:
    • Dead time compensation
    • Feed-forward control
    • Model Predictive Control (MPC)
  3. APC development practice on DCS:
    • Control strategy of furnace combustion
    • Controller drawing and data point configuration
  4. Recent technology:
    • Software sensors
  5. Visits:
    • a DCS manufacturer
    • refineries
PrerequisitesEngineers with a university degree and at least three years experience in process control, plant operation or DCS related work, or those with an equivalent qualification
