Participants will acquire comprehensive knowledge of HRD in Japan through an understanding of Japanese-style HRM, and will improve their HRD planning and performance capability in a workshop. 1. History of Japan and the Japanese mentality as the basis of Japanese-style HRM and HRD 2. Introduction of Japanese-style HRM and career development/design in Japan 3. Recent changes in HRM brought about by social changes in Japan and the globalization trend 4. HRD today in Japan 5. Introduction of a training model and case study on HRD 6. Visits to: ・ An oil company ・ An engineering company ・ Refineries ・ A university
