On 3 November 2026, Prof. Ando participated as a panelist in an Executive Session at ADIPEC 2026, one of the world’s largest energy conferences, held in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The session, titled “Stress-testing resilience: reserves, redundancy and real-time recovery” focused on strengthening energy system preparedness against sudden disruptions.
During the discussion, Prof. Ando noted that while AI and real-time data accelerate vulnerability detection and recovery decisions, real-world physical restoration remains bound by human coordination. Drawing on Japan’s experience and the evolution of the Toyota Production System (TPS) and Kaizen, he emphasized that human solidarity and operating as “One Team” based on mutual trust are essential for rapid recovery. He reaffirmed JCCP’s commitment to leveraging over 45 years of human capital development—connecting over 28,000 specialists—to strengthen cross-border trust and global energy security.
