Objectives
Intended for instrument engineers, this course provides knowledge on a wide range of instrumentation from field devices to DCS and the basics of process control, as well as discussions on cutting-edge applications to improve instrumentation skills.

Lecture and Practice: ・Overview of Japanese petroleum industry ・Basic control theory (feedback control, PID control) ・Basic process control practice using a DCS simulator connected to miniature plant (PID parameter tuning) ・Basic cybersecurity ・Latest instrumentation & control systems 2. Site Visit: ・Instrumentation & control system manufacturer: Latest instrumentation & control systems ・Instrumentation device manufacturer: Technology of level gauge, displacement / vibration sensor, Control valve ・Refinery: Application of control systems, operation support systems, and information systems

Qualification
Engineers with at least 1 year of experience in instrumentation or DCS-related work, process control, or information systems, or those with equivalent qualifications.
