Objective
To provide knowledge of material deterioration, corrosion problems, material selection and welding technologies for static equipment
Main Topics
Participants will acquire knowledge of material problems and practical welding technologies in Japanese petroleum refineries.
1.	Material deterioration and corrosion, material selection
2.	Reliability evaluation of pressure vessels
3.	Trouble experiences with refinery static equipment
4.	Welding technologies and practical repair techniques in the refinery
5.	Case study discussion and workshop
6.	Visits to:
・	A refinery
・	A pressure vessel fabricator
・	A welding technology center
・	An engineering company
Qualification
Mechanical/maintenance engineers (excluding electricity, instrumentation and rotary machinery) with a university degree and at least five years’ experience in static equipment maintenance, or those with equivalent qualifications
