Objective
To provide general knowledge of energy saving technology, such as furnace combustion control, effective heat exchangers, process revamping, steam trap management, etc.

Participants will be able to contribute to more profitable operation by studying energy saving technology, pinch technology and simulator practice.

    1.Energy saving for refineries
    2.Outline of the Japanese oil industry
    3.Study and practice of pinch technology
    4.Review of the latest energy saving technologies
        ・heat exchanger re-arrangement
        ・utility optimization
    5.Simulator practice for energy saving operations
    6.Case study discussion
    7.Visit to:
        ・a refinery
        ・a steam trap manufacturer
        ・a factory (boiler, cogeneration)
Qualification
Process engineers with a university degree and at least three years’ experience in areas such as technical service, energy saving, operation or production control divisions of refineries, or others with equivalent qualifications
