Objective
To provide an opportunity to acquire an understanding of quality management, including production planning and control in Japanese refineries
Main Topics
Participants will acquire knowledge of advanced quality management systems, including LAS (Laboratory Automation System) and analyzers, and will have the opportunity to discuss issues related to the theme of the course in their countries and jobs, in addition to experience in LP simulation from the perspective of quality control.
1.	Quality management in Japan
2.	TPM (total productivity management)
3.	Statistical approach to quality control
4.	JIS (Japanese Industrial Standards) on petroleum products and specifications
5.	Modernized LAS in refineries
6.	Production planning using an LP simulator
7.	Presentation and discussion
Quality issues and countermeasures in each countries Issues of each participants and class discussion

Qualification
Engineers with a university degree and at least three years’ experience in a quality control division, laboratory or product planning in an oil refinery, or those with equivalent qualifications
