Objective
To provide a wide range of knowledge and practical skills in conventional control theories, PID tuning and APC development skills, and the latest control technologies
Main Topics
Participants will receive practical training to understand the latest control systems, instruments and software by utilizing simulators at JCCP.
1.	Fundamental process control theories and practice
・	Computer-aided instruction
	Process characteristics and PID control
・	DCS-controlled miniature plant 
	Controllability of three operation modes
2.	Advanced process control theories and practice using a miniature plant with DCS
・	Model Predictive Control (MPC)
・	Operation Support System (OSS) 
・	Soft-sensor technology
3.	Outline of safety instrumented system and engineering practice using a miniature plant with DCS
・	Safety Instrumented System (SIS)
4.	Visits to:
・	Refineries
・	DCS manufacture
Qualification
Engineers with a university degree and at least three years’ experience in process control, plant operation or DCS, or those with equivalent qualifications
