Objective
To provide participants with a wide range of knowledge and practical skills, such as conventional control theory, PID tuning and APC development skills, and recent control technology
Main Topics
Participants will receive practical training of APC by utilizing simulators at JCCP.

    1.Fundamental process control theories and practice
        ・Process characteristics
        ・PID controller
        ・Tuning practice using a miniature plant with DCS

    2.Advanced process control theories and practice using a miniature plant with DCS
    (1) Model Predictive Control (MPC)
    (2) Operation Support System (OSS)

    3.Shutdown sequence system theories and practice using a miniature plant with DCS
    (1) Safety Instrument System (SIS)
    (2) Control strategy and controller drawing on DCS

    4.Visits to:
        ・A DCS company
        ・Refineries
Qualification
Engineers with a university degree and at least three years’ experience in process control, plant operation or DCS, or those with equivalent qualifications
