Course Title Practical Training for Younger Instrument and Control Engineers

Objective
This course features the following points:

    1.It is longer (one and a half months) than other regular courses.

    2.It promotes training at the participants’ own initiatives.

    3.It allows participants to experience hands-on training in actual DCS (simulators), field devices and others at JCCP and in Japanese refineries and factories.

    4.It aims to provide participants with a wide range of knowledge and skills to become specialists in the future.
Main Topics
Participants will study practical engineering techniques, from the basics of instrumentation to advanced applications.

    1.Fundamental study and practice
    (1) Outline of recent instrument and control technologies in Japan
    (2) Process control theories with practice

    2.Engineering practice and application experience
    (1) Instrumentation engineering
    (2) Field devices engineering and maintenance
    (3) APC development practice and softwares
    (4) Other applicationse

    3.Application experience in Japanese companies
    (1) Refineries of oil companies
    (2) Factories of instrument and field device companies

    4.Visits to:
    (1) Refineries
    (2) Instrument factories
Qualification
Younger engineers with a few years of experience in instrument engineering, process control or DCS-related technology, or those with equivalent qualifications
