Since 2021 marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Japan and State of Kuwait, the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) and JCCP co-organized the “Kuwait-Japan Symposium on Blue Hydrogen” online on December 6 as part of its commemorative event.
At the opening, H.E. Mr. Masato Takaoka, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Kuwait, Ms. Wafaa Al-Zaabi, Acting CEO of KPC, and Tsuyoshi Nakai, CEO of JCCP, made greetings. The symposium was a great one with about 120 online participants.
Agency for Natural Resources and Energy, Toyota Motor Corporation, Kuwait Mitsubishi Corporation, Kyushu University, Toyo Engineering, and Yokogawa Electric, made presentations on Carbon Neutral Related Policy, Hydrogen Mobility, Hydrogen/Ammonia Supply Chain, Economic Evaluation of Hydrogen Society, CO2-Free Ammonia Technology, and DX technologies for hydrogen plants. Also, a panel discussion was held on cooperation between Japan and Kuwait in the field of blue hydrogen.
