Overview
On January 27, 2022, the 40th JCCP International Symposium was held in a hybrid format. In Leaders Panel 1, a lively exchange of opinions took place between government officials of oil- and gas-producing countries in the Middle East and Asia, individuals from Japanese and foreign oil companies, and energy experts on the main theme of the symposium, “Oil and Gas Industry Looks to a Sustainable Future—New Challenges and International Cooperation.” There were about 600 online participants, including representatives of the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry; oilproducing countries; respective embassies to Japan; various government organizations; and Japanese and foreign companies and organizations, etc.
