On July 24, 2018, Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR) and JCCP held a signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) at Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam, PVN) Hanoi Headquarters to launch technical cooperation project of “Technical Cooperation to Improve Refinery Competitiveness in Vietnam”.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hoi, Vice President & CEO of BSR and Mr. Eiji Hiraoka, Senior Executive Director of JCCP signed the MOA under the witness of Mr. Takehiro Tsuchiya (Counsellor of Japanese Embassy in Vietnam), Dr. Dinh Van Son (Member of Board of Directors of PVN), Dr. Le Manh Hung (Vice President of PVN) and Mr. Kenichiro Saito (General Manager of JX Nippon Research Institute (JXNRI)).

In the project, various themes such as production of low sulfur fuel oil conforming to new IMO regulations, more production of petrochemicals, FCC operation improvement, etc. will be studied over three years to strengthen the competitiveness of Dung Quat Refinery operated by BSR.( Technical Cooperation Department)
