On 16 June 2022, the Japan Cooperation Center Petroleum (JCCP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with ADNOC Refining in the presence of Mr. Abdulla Ateya Al Messabi, CEO of ADNOC Refining, Mr. Eiji Hiraoka, Managing Director of JCCP, the Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Japan in the United Arab Emirates and senior officials from Idemitsu Kosan.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Abdulla Ateya Al Messabi, CEO of ADNOC Refining thanked JCCP and Idemitsu for their long-standing research and development partnership with ADNOC Refining. Mr. Al Messabi highlighted JCCP’s important support to establish ADNOC’s dedicated research center in 2009 and the ongoing technical training offered to ADNOC Refining scientists in Tokyo.
The MOU enables JCCP and ADNOC Refining to continue their longstanding technical partnership until 2024, further supporting advancements in areas of molecular modelling, catalyst selection, and residue fluid catalytic cracking technology.
