On May 20, 2019, ADNOC Refining and JCCP held a signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) at Head Quarter of ADNOC Refining in Abu Dhabi to launch the technical cooperation project named “Joint Support with ADNOC Refining Research Centre Division for ADNOC Refinery Operation (UAE) Phase Ⅱ”.
Mr. Jasem Al Sayegh, Chef Executive Officer, ADNOC Refining and Mr. Eiji Hiraoka, Senior Executive Director of JCCP signed the MOA under the witness of Mr. Shuichi Takao, Minister, Embassy of Japan in UAE, Dr. Mikael Berthod, Vice President, ADNOC Refining Research Centre (ARRC) and Dr. Yoshihiro Fujikata, General Manager and Technology & Engineering Centre, Idemitsu Kosan Co.,Ltd..
JCCP has supported the establishment of ARRC with participation of Idemitsu since 2006 and continued to work on development of a competent and reliable research centre for 13 years. Based on the accomplishments, ADNOC Refining and JCCP agree to further collaboration and start a new phase with focus on “Optimized Catalysts”, “Kinetics of H2S corrosion” and “Molecular-Level RFCC Reaction Modeling Using Petroleomics” to stabilize the reliable operation of ADNOC Refining. This project is expected to make a substantial contribution to the management of ADNOC Refining. The project period is scheduled from FY 2019 to FY 2021.
