Objectives
This course aims to allow those engaged in the oil sales and distribution sector to gain knowledge about Japan’s oil (energy) industry and oil logistics through lectures and site visits.
Main Topics
1. Lecture:
   ・	Background: Japanese history, culture, and society
   ・	Japanese oil industry and history of petroleum logistics rationalization
   ・	 Improved efficiency of logistics management systems using IT
   ・	 Crude transportation by VLCC
   ・    Japanese companies' efforts towards a hydrogen society

2. Site Visit:
   ・	Oil company/depot: Outline of the Japanese petroleum products, product supply chain and depots, and site tour
   ・	Oil company initiatives for SAF / Refinery: Overview of commercial SAF facilities, site tour and VLCC jetty tour
   ・	Gas station: Petroleum product sales at a gas station
   ・	Fuel oil measuring machine factory for service stations

Qualification
People engaged in an oil sales/distribution department who have at least 3 years of work experience or equivalent qualifications.
Project Report

Study outlines Japan’s oil supply chain, its efficiency, the supporting economic history, then visit a refinery, deposit tank, and fuel dispenser factory, along with a study of Japanese hydrogen supply chains. The program offered insights into both established energy logistics and future hydrogen infrastructure development.
