Objectives
To provide an opportunity to acquire an understanding of quality management in Japanese refineries, including production planning and control that comply with environmental regulations.
Participants will acquire knowledge of advanced quality management systems, including LAS (Laboratory Automation System), in addition to experience in LP simulation from the perspective of environmental regulation and production planning.

1. Quality management in Japan 2. Statistical approach to quality control 3. JIS (Japanese Industrial Standards) on petroleum products and specifications 4. Modernized LAS in refineries 5. Production planning using an LP simulator, Quality issues and countermeasures in each country, Issues of each participant and class discussion 6. Advanced analyzer 7. Qualification
Engineers with a university degree and at least three years’ experience in a quality control division, laboratory or product planning in an oil refinery, or those with equivalent qualifications
