Participants will be introduced to practical examples of countermeasures to material problems and welding problems in Japanese oil refineries. 1. Material selection and welding technologies 2. Reliability evaluation of pressure vessels 3. Trouble experiences with refinery static equipment 4. Practical repair techniques in the refinery 5. Case study discussion and work shop 6. Visits to: ・ A refinery ・ A pressure vessel fabricator ・ A welding technology center ・ An engineering company
