Objectives
To provide a wide range of knowledge regarding advanced field instrumentation, including the basis for process control and the latest DCS
Main Topics
Participants will be introduced to the latest field devices
and control theories, and will engage in tuning practice
using a simulator.
1. Advanced field devices and control systems
・ Introduction of the latest field instruments and DCS systems
2. Basic study of control
・ Control theory using CAI
・ PID tuning practice using a wet simulator with DCS
・ Control valve selection
・ Machine protection system
3. Instrument maintenance
・ Field instrument maintenance(level meter, flow meter, analyzer, control valve)
4. Visits to:
・ A refinery
・ A vendor of diagnosis systems for rotating machines
・ Instrument factories

Qualification
Engineers with a university degree and at least three years’experience in instrumentation, or those with equivalent qualifications
