At the beginning of this symposium, a session was set up for two-way information exchange between the fuel supply side and the consumer side regarding the latest issue of IMO2020 low-sulfur fuel handling. Followingly, a session was set up to exchange information on the AI/DX oil refining field, which is expected to be used in all fields.
While petroleum fuel is expected to decline due to measures against global warming, demand for chemical products is expected to grow. Therefore, each session was set up on petrochemicals and petroleum refining from the perspective of utilizing surplus petroleum distillate and increasing the value of petroleum.
The venue attracted over 360 participants from petroleum companies, petrochemical companies, marine-related companies, AI/DX related companies, engineering companies, heavy industry companies, automobile companies, universities and research institutions. Information on a wide range of technical fields was exchanged through Q & A sessions and on-site dialogue.
We hope that information exchange through the symposium will evolve into the new collaboration in the future.
