Objective
To provide knowledge of advanced technologies for environmental management in order to develop a new environment project or corporate environment strategy in a low-carbon society
Main Topics
The course is designed to provide knowledge of environmental management from the perspective of the oil industry. It covers the latest environmental technologies through visits to research centers and manufacturers in Japan. Participants will have opportunities to discuss potential solutions with experts in environmental technology and management.

    1.Advanced technologies for a low-carbon society
    2.Global warming policies and strategies in the oil industry
    3.R&D activities for environmental strategy
    4.Renewable energy & new energy (fuel cell & hydrogen)
    5.Soil remediation & water reuse
    6.Case presentation and class discussion
    7.Visits to
        ・A national research institute—to study the latest R&D activities for new energy and clean fuel
        ・A national research institute—to study CO2 management and CO2-EOR/CCS technologies
        ・Technology vendors—to study advanced environmental technologies applicable to the oil industry
        ・Renewable energy and efficient power generation
        ・Membrane and RO technology
        ・New refining process technologies
        ・Soil remediation technologies

EOR: Enhanced Oil Recovery, CCS: Carbon Capture and Storage, RO: Reverse Osmosis
Qualification
Managers and senior engineers with a university degree and at least five years’ experience in environmental management, or those with equivalent qualifications
