Objectives
In this course, participants will learn about the importance of aligning business and HR strategies based on the concept of Human Capital Management (HCM). They will also learn from Japan’s organizational culture, employment practices, and innovation initiatives, comparing them with their own countries to gain insights for improving human resource management. The program aims to enhance participants’ management skills and provide knowledge of human capital strategies and systems—including the identification, evaluation, and placement of talent to maximize employees’ strengths and growth potential.

・ Overview of Human Capital Management (HCM)
・ Human Resource Management utilizing assessments 
・ Strategic HR practices in international companies
・ Case studies of human resource management in Japanese companies
・ Sharing of initiatives in human capital management across countries
・ The relationship between ESG management and human capital management
・ Managerial skills enhancement exercises (team building, coaching, evaluation skills)

2. Site Visit:
  ・ Manufacturing industry: Human capital initiatives supporting sustainable growth, and human capital management in response to business transformation

Project Report

This course was designed for managers to provide a systematic understanding of the fundamental concepts of Human Capital Management (HCM), enhance understanding of the importance of aligning business and talent strategies, and explore human resource management practices that support such alignment.

Participants also developed perspectives on enhancing talent strategies and HR management practices tailored to the specific circumstances of their countries and organizations.

Furthermore, through workshops and group discussions, participants actively exchanged ideas and shared experiences regarding challenges and initiatives in their respective countries and organizations, gaining valuable insights and practical implications for implementation within their own workplaces.
