Course Title Current Situation and Future Perspectives of LNG & Natural Gas Technology

Objective
To provide an opportunity to acquire knowledge and information of natural gas & LNG processing technologies in the refining, liquefaction, transportation, storage and utilization stages, through lectures and observations at heavy industries and an LNG terminal, in as relevant a manner as possible to each participant
Main Topics
Participants will acquire comprehensive knowledge of natural gas and LNG, including demand and supply situation, natural gas & LNG process engineering and tank technologies, new technologies of natural gas application and be able to apply it to their respective organization.
1.	Energy situation and LNG use in Japan
2.	The global natural gas & LNG market, including the market for unconventional gas
3.	Natural gas & LNG process, pipeline engineering and tank technologies
4.	Development and production of natural gas and LNG
5.	Development of natural gas as a new energy source
6.	Presentation and discussion
Natural gas & LNG situation and issue of your country and /or issue in your duty and role of each participant, its’ countermeasures getting through the course
7.	Visits to: 
・	A gas turbine manufacturing company
・	A manufacturing company of heat exchangers and LNG vaporizers 
・	An LNG shipbuilding company 
・	A steel pipe manufacturing company
・	An LNG terminal for supply of city gas and electric power (for experience in handling ultra-low temperature liquid)
Qualification
Engineers with a university degree and at least three years’ experience in work related to the natural gas or LNG area, or those with equivalent qualifications
