Objective
Those who are involved in environmental regulation and management will learn about the history of environmental management in Japan and deepen their understanding of the current status and issues of efforts, such as by the oil industry. It also aims to broaden the perspective of Japanese technology that contributes to environmental management.
Main Topics
1. Lecture:
・Overview of the oil industry in Japan
・History of environmental problems and environmental standards in Japan
・Atmospheric monitoring and simulation
・Soil pollution countermeasures

2. Site Visit:
・Refinery: Environmental conservation efforts
・Environmental analysis company: Measurement and analysis technology for air, water, and gas.
・Water treatment company: Advanced wastewater treatment system and recycling technology 
・Waste treatment plant: Efforts for environmental measures
Qualification
Those who have an undergraduate degree or higher and are currently engaged in environmental regulation and management, those who are scheduled to be involved in this business in the future, or those who have equivalent qualifications.
