Objective
Maintaining aged plants is an important issue for refineries. For maintenance engineers (managers, etc.) of static equipment, this course proposes to deepen their understanding of the latest technology, 
management methods, appropriate inspection methods for static equipment (excluding electricity, instrumentation, and rotary machinery engineers), and maintenance in oil refining facilities.

1. Lectures
・ Life cycle engineering, plant life assessment and extension planning.
・ Non-destructive inspections (fundamental and latest)
・ Risk based maintenance management (RBM, RCM, etc.) 
    Reliability, Availability & Maintainability (RAM), TPM, etc.
・ Safety control (safety culture, philosophy of safeguarding, safety design, etc.)
・ Human resource development for engineers
・ Digital maintenance system (latest maintenance support system / communication system, AR, etc.)
・ Turnaround maintenance and daily maintenance

2. Visits to: 
・ Refinery : Training Center, actual maintenance management.
・ A non-destructive inspection company: Adequate inspection for life evaluation
・ EPC companies: Latest design and technology for plant life extension
・ Steel and pressure vessel manufacturers: Maintenance technology for plant life extension
・ Digital technology company : Latest DX and VR technology.

Qualification
Maintenance managers or engineers having at least five years’ experience in static equipment maintenance (excluding electricity,
instrumentation and rotary machinery) with a university degree, or those with equivalent qualifications.
